Image Download Options
PREVIEW
Ah, the ol’ “I made a cool thing, now how do I actually save it?” moment — been there.
Here’s the quick and painless rundown for downloading an image you generated with Google Gemini:
If you used Gemini in the browser (gemini.google.com)
- After the image pops up, hover over it or click it.
- You should see a small download icon (usually a little downward arrow).
- Click that → image saves to your device.
If you’re using Gemini in Google Messages (the RCS chat thing on Android)
- Tap the generated image to open it.
- Hit the three dots (⋮) in the corner.
- Select Save image.
If you’re using the Gemini mobile app
- Tap the image.
- Look for the download or share button at the bottom.
- Save or send it wherever you want.
If none of those show up
Some regions or versions hide the download button for output that’s still in beta. In that case:
- Try right-click → Save image as… (desktop)
- Or long-press → Download image (mobile)
If the model watermark is blocking downloads, screenshotting works too, but you lose full resolution.
If you wanna tell me which device/app you’re on, I can give you the exact steps.
